Chris Corbet - CEO
Ever since Chris was a young lad, he had dreams of running an internet marketing company. "No one else knew about internet marketing in the 80's. In fact, no one else had even heard of the internet at that stage. But I did," he says with a glint in his eye. Chris founded the company in 1998, and has successfully molded a team of exciting individuals, known and feared throughout the land as "The SynergizeIT Team".

Shaune Jordaan - Director of SEO and Marketing
We hired Shaune after he stumbled into our offices one day, after tripping on some debris which had been left outside. He has subsequently become a director and shareholder. His legendary abilities in SEO and marketing ensure that our growing portfolio of clients remain at the top of the search engine pile. "I've been wanting to work here since I was 12", he says excitedly, "I'm just living the dream man."

Meagan Wessels - Office Manager
Meagan is the "go to" person in the office, ensuring that everything runs smoothly, like a well-oiled machine. Or at least a machine that runs properly, it doesn't really have to be well-oiled to do that, it's just a metaphor we enjoy using. A keen sportswoman and coach, Meagan brings discipline and organisation to the office, and regularly prods us with her cricket bat if we step out of line.

Marten Lazarus - Lead SEO Strategist
Marten gave up an exciting career as a professional wrestler, to take up an even more exciting career as an SEO strategist. "Professional wrestling had it's high moments for me," he says with some nostalgia, "but nothing beats the excitement and adrenaline rush of working as an internet marketer". Marten is also an avid poker player, and even had a small role in the movie, Oceans Eleven. "I was the guy standing behind Brad Pitt at the poker table," he says modestly.

Romano Borman - Developer
"If only we had a developer fluent in PHP and MySql," we mused one morning. The words had literally just come out our mouths, when Romano made his grand entrance through our doors. Besides being an expert in PHP and MySql, Romano is also incredibly fluent with Word Press, Drupal and various other applications. His Spanish is a bit rusty though, but we forgive him for that.

Professor Melius Weideman - Freelance Consultant
Professor Weideman, head of department in the Faculty of Informatics and Design at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, is South Africa's first Professor of SEO, in fact he's one of only a handful in the world. Affectionately referred to as the "prof" he keeps us updated on the latest developments in the ever changing world of search engine optimisation. His book 'Website Visibility' is a valuable guide to the often confusing world of search engines and SEO.

Damian Du Preez - Freelance Developer
Damian recently went freelance after a long period of working for us full time, whilst juggling his second career as a heavy metal rock star. "The rock star lifestyle left me feeling uninspired and jaded," he says whilst sipping his Rooibos tea. "Developing web applications is what really get's my heart racing these days". A formidable programmer, Damian once developed an online booking system using just a few paper clips, some rubber bands and a dirty rag.

Johan Pretorius - Web / Graphic Designer
Johan is the creative guru in the office, with the unique ability to conceptualise and create websites in his sleep, which he did in August 2006, and again in January 2008, as part of a dare. Besides design, some of Johan's other passions include motorbikes, playing music, tattoos as well as the colour black. "Not grey or charcoal though, it has to be pure Black," he emphasises thoughtfully.

Linda Vika - Link Negotiator
A former Miss Teen South Africa, Linda is also a Taurean, with the incredible ability to control people's minds. This gift of persuasion comes in handy during her daily task of establishing reciprocal links from various sources, which ensures a steady increase in web exposure for our diverse clientelle. This ability also proves invaluable during salary negotiation time.

Jo-Ann Bent - Link Negotiator
Jo is a link strategist who once made it to the second round of Idols. (The year that Karin Kortje won) In addition to that particular accolade, she is also well known for her abilities as an online marketing strategist, ensuring that her portfolio of clients are well looked after in the internet sphere. Jo-Anne's other great loves include socialising, dancing and her baby daughter. She is also fond of David Beckham, and actually bumped into him once, sending him flying into a nearby table.

Ian Kay - SEO Strategist
Ian spends his free time doing gigs for South Africa's junior wresling federation", Marten thinks he tough but I am tougher," he says with confidence. Ian is also a great SEO guru and loves the latest trends. " Whether I am in the ring or in front of my PC I like to try new exciting things, I like to test the boundries because you see results" he grunts, while busy with some mean new meta data SEO formula.

Caryn Mather - Copywriter
We found Caryn abandoned at the local coffee shop one day and being short of a copywriter asked her to join the SynergizeIT team. She's a Rhodes University graduate with a BA in Politics and Linguistics; meaning that she can criticise the American political system and say ‘I don’t understand’ in Japanese. When not writing she's likely to be reading, baking cupcakes or painting her toenails in a variety of bright colours.

Nelson Sapi - Intern
Nelson is a Zambian national who has studied computing at the University of Greenwich in England and whose passion for online media naturally led him to SynergizeIT. Since then we have been assigning him tasks of ever increasing complexity in order to test his commitment to our goal of complete world domination and being the best online marketing company we can be.

Melanie Olivier - Intern
Melanie is our newest intern, she claims to be a student from France studying international trade who enjoys shopping and going out with friends. Her quiet yet alert demeanour and flawless style have however led us to suspect that she is actually an international super model who has come to South Africa to lay low for a while.

Warren Glam - Copywriter Intern
A child television star during the 80's, Warren is still fondly remembered for his role as that kid from the Redro Fish Paste adverts. These days, Warren is making a name for himself as an intern copywriter, who is steadily builing a reputation at SynergizeIT as someone who "get's the job done", no matter what obstacles may lie in his way.
